Ok so,

By this point, if you haven’t done your Christmas shopping you’re probably looking to throw some cash at the problem of what to get for him, as Christmas looms into view on the iPhone calendar, and that’s completely ok… provided you choose the right things of course.

The Belstaff panther jacket is at the top of my list, it’s an absolute corker! I bought one recently in brown, and it now sits in pride of place in my collection, Belstaff have been making the piece since 1966 and follows the classic Trialmaster layout of four pockets and a belt. Not to mention the fact Brad Pitt wears one in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The Oris Big Crown Complication, a Classic looking piece in steel and Gold plated, Fluted bezel. Some watches can get a bit over worked if you put too much into them and considering it has a calendar, second time zone and moonphase this one retains an understated yet elegant quality he could wear with a dinner jacket or mowing the lawn.

The Smythson Panama is something everyone should own anyway really, and sits in this list as more of a stocking filler of sorts. Either the note book or the Diary (or both) are a welcome addition to ones daily kit, and adds a touch of elegance when taking notes or going through your schedule. You can also have them monogrammed in their New Bond Street store.

Redwings… if they don’t already have a pair get them some, The iron ranger boot is my favourite by quite a stretch, there is an old world feel to them which makes you want to wear rough wool trousers and play baseball in the street, admittedly a little sore initially but that’s all part of it, you want to make sure they fit properly so head in to the store off Carnaby street where they can measure you up for the perfect fit.

Even if they/you (this can be a list for yourself as well you know…) are a fair weather cigar smoker, this will allow you to preserve any cigars you buy, as there is nothing more infuriating than taking out a cigar to smoke from the temporary case or tube to find it has dried out. And they look fucking great on your desk… Best place in London is probably Davidoff, off Piccadilly, check them out.

So that concludes the short wish list, if they have all of the above then I don’t know…
